We were very happy to be back in the Durham, NC community to serve again. This time it was a celebration in honor of our founder’s late Mother. We served 150 ppl breakfast for December 7, 2021 and were also able to provide and prep breakfast for an additional 100+ people for December 8, 2021.
We provided a hearty breakfast of Turkey sausage, eggs, fruit, cereal bars, breakfast pastries, apple sauce, juice, water. We also handed out prepared sandwich bag lunches.
We are thankful for our volunteers!
We are also thankful for those that support our movement through donations!
We were able to have our very first collaboration with a Corporate Volunteer Group from The Holt Team of New American Funding. They were a great group to work with.
Our Menu consisted of a “cookout style” meal. We made 1/4 hamburgers and hotdogs, we had salad, chips, dessert items, water, and soft drinks.
We made 100 plates and were able to give them out to the homeless/hungry population.
The Holt team also provided 75 toiletry bags to give out during lunch.
We had a chance to serve in the Durham Community on May 8, 2021. We served breakfast for 91 people and it was a very successful event. We were even able to give out 100 plates.
